- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I went to ER in August 2017 after a fall on the sidewalk, though I had broken my L.Wrist. Doctor exam was scant at best, didn't not large gash on my elbow. Ordered x-rays of wrist, elbow, shouldering a Cscan of my head. L. Wrist was casted and I was given a referral to and specialist. When I called to make appointment was told that they did not take my secondary insurance. I didn't make the appointment, glad I didn't, went to Hand specialist at Stony Brook. Aft review of x-ray I brought with me, exam of my wrist, I was told it was not fractured. In addition to that I wasn't given the results of other x-rays and scan.August 22, 2017by Eleanor Damico
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My husband was a patient on October 6th 2017. He went to the emergency because of a head injury that gave him excruciating head and neck ache. He was waiting 3 hours till the only night shift doctor finally came to see him. He kept asking for pain medication, but only received it 4 hours after we checked in to the emergency. We had the impression that nobody cared. One nurse running around, many other nurses/administrative personnel are giggling by their desk/reception. Disgusting that people asking for emergency care have to wait 4! hours for pain medication. I am guessing that the hospital will get paid for this lousy service either way.
